Storytelling through the lens is an art form and a passion. I'm Aeleen Romy Fiestas, a professional photographer based in the DMV, born in Lima, Peru and raised in Maryland. As a queer Latina photographer, I bring a unique perspective to my craft, celebrating love and life in all its diverse forms. My journey behind the camera began by capturing the breathtaking beauty of landscapes and candid moments during my global adventures. However, over the course of 8 years, my purpose as a photographer has crystallized into something deeper – the art of preserving priceless moments that allow viewers to relive the emotions and narratives within each frame. 

Beyond the world of weddings, engagement’s, and events, I am dedicated to giving back to my community. I contribute my time and talents to local DC-based mutual aid organizations, assisting them in visually telling their stories through photos for websites and community events. This meaningful work has illuminated the wisdom in Gordan Parks’ words: “The subject matter is so much more important than the photographer”. Every photograph I create is a testament to this truth, emphasizing the significance of the moments we capture and the stories we tell. 

When I’m not immersed in photography, you’ll find me in the company of my two beloved dogs, Frida the Chihuahua and Bailey the Boston Terrier Mix.
